Elderly Worker Beaten to Death in Bharyasti; Heirs Accuse Opponents

A 55-year-old worker, Ghulam Shabbir Kalhoro, was brutally beaten to death with sticks, rods, and iron bars in the Kalhoro Colony area of Bharyasti. Kalhoro, a resident of the colony, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Nawab Shah Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The body of Ghulam Shabbir Kalhoro was handed over to his heirs after a post-mortem at Bharyasti Hospital. His family members, including Mashooq Kalhoro, Naseem Kalhoro, and Mohkam Kalhoro, along with hundreds of others, staged a fierce protest inside the hospital, demanding justice.

The heirs have accused several influential figures in the area, including Mumtaz Kalhoro, Misri Kalhoro, Pervez Kalhoro, Saddam Abro, Nisar Kalhoro, Abdul Fattah Kalhoro, and Imran Kalhoro. According to the family, the dispute stems from ongoing tensions with these individuals. A few days earlier, the son of the deceased, Mohsin Kalhoro, was injured in an incident that the family claims was staged as an accident. The family alleges that the accused parties were responsible for that attack and have been making repeated threats.

In their protest, the heirs stated that they had been harassed by the accused, with Misri Kalhoro allegedly threatening them at a petrol pump in Kalhora Colony. They claimed the accused had made threats regarding the deaths of Juman Kalhoro and Bhatti Kalhoro in previous incidents. They allege that Ghulam Shabbir Kalhoro was brutally murdered in retaliation, further escalating the tension between the two sides.

The family has demanded that the accused individuals be arrested immediately and justice be served.

On the other hand, Misri Kalhoro and Mumtaz Kalhoro, who have been named in the allegations, have denied the accusations. They described the claims as baseless and called for a transparent investigation into the matter.
