Erdogan Urges US and International Community to Ensure Israel Respects Gaza Ceasefire

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on the United States and other nations to exert pressure on Israel to comply with the Gaza ceasefire agreement, warning that continued violations risk undermining fragile peace efforts.

In a statement, President Erdogan said Turkey is “doing its best to maintain the Gaza ceasefire agreement” and remains ready to fully support the Gaza Task Force responsible for monitoring the truce.

Erdogan emphasised that while Hamas has been adhering to the terms of the agreement, Israel continues to breach it. He urged Washington and other influential powers to “put pressure on Israel to stop these violations and respect the ceasefire.”

The Turkish president reaffirmed his country’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in Gaza, stating that Turkey will continue diplomatic efforts to prevent renewed violence.

Erdogan’s remarks come amid growing international concern over recurring ceasefire breaches and mounting humanitarian challenges in Gaza, where reconstruction efforts have stalled amid political and security uncertainty.
