Final Witnesses Testify in Toshakhana-II Case Against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi

The Toshakhana-II case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi reached a critical stage on Monday, as the final two prosecution witnesses recorded their statements during proceedings held at Adiala Jail.

Both the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and his wife were presented before the court. The prosecution concluded the testimony phase with statements from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation officer Mohsin Haroon and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) investigation officer Shahid Pervez.

With these depositions, the prosecution has now recorded a total of 20 witnesses in the case. Cross-examination of 18 of them has already been completed.

Following Monday’s proceedings, the court adjourned the case until September 24, when further hearings are expected to continue.

The Toshakhana-II case is among several high-profile cases facing Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, centering on allegations of irregularities in the handling and sale of gifts received from foreign dignitaries. The conclusion of the witness phase signals that the trial may soon move toward final arguments.

Legal observers note that the outcome of this case could carry significant political and legal consequences for the PTI founder, who remains incarcerated while facing multiple corruption and accountability proceedings.
