Governor KP Urges CM Ali Amin Gandapur to Seek Vote of Confidence Amid Concerns Over Majority and Law and Order

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has publicly advised Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to seek a vote of confidence, raising questions about the stability of the provincial government. Citing concerns over law and order and the Chief Minister's apparent loss of majority, Kundi's remarks have intensified political uncertainty in the region.

Speaking to the media, Governor Kundi expressed his apprehension regarding the current state of governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. "I will advise Ali Amin Gandapur to take a vote of confidence. The Chief Minister has lost his majority, and the assembly meetings have been postponed four times already," Kundi stated, highlighting the growing tension within the provincial government.

The Governor also hinted at the possibility of a no-confidence motion being brought against Gandapur, further complicating the political landscape. "The Chief Minister does not have the majority. A motion of no confidence may come against him, and I can also officially request him to take a vote of confidence," Kundi warned.

Kundi criticized the recent reshuffling of the provincial cabinet, questioning the rapid changes and the lack of accountability for those allegedly involved in corruption or incompetence. "What is the reason for the change in the cabinet so soon? It seems they are hurriedly removing people. If they are corrupt or incompetent, why are they not being punished?" Kundi questioned.

He also expressed concern over the state of education in the province, pointing out that 26 universities are currently without vice-chancellors. Kundi proposed a new legislative bill to ensure that the children of politicians and bureaucrats study in government schools, aiming to improve the quality of education for all.

In response to the Governor's remarks, Chief Minister Gandapur has reportedly signed a summary to include one adviser and three special assistants in the provincial cabinet, which has been sent to Governor Kundi for approval. The move indicates Gandapur's efforts to solidify his position, but the looming threat of a vote of confidence casts a shadow over his leadership.

As political tensions rise, the future of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's governance remains uncertain, with the possibility of further developments in the coming days.
