LEGAL

The government has decided not to extend the deadline for illegally residing foreigners and Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders to leave Pakistan.
According to security sources, the deadline for voluntary departure remains March 31, 2025, after which strict legal action, including arrests and deportation, will begin.
Crackdown on Illegal Foreigners Due to Security Concerns
The decision comes amid growing concerns over the involvement of Afghan nationals in terrorism-related incidents across Pakistan.
🔹 On March 4, 2025, security forces killed 16 terrorists of the banned Fitna Khawarij group in Bannu Cantt, including Afghan nationals.
🔹 Sources indicate that the attack was planned from Afghan soil, further strengthening the government’s resolve to deport all illegal foreigners.
Interior Ministry Confirms No Deadline Extension
The Ministry of Interior has reiterated that:
✅ All illegally residing foreigners must leave by March 31, 2025.
✅ From April 1, law enforcement agencies will begin strict action, including arrests and forced deportations.
A statement from the ministry warned: "All illegal foreigners should ensure their voluntary return before the deadline to avoid legal consequences."
This move is part of Pakistan’s broader national security policy, ensuring greater control over its borders and internal security.
