POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has indicated his readiness to negotiate with the army. During an informal conversation with journalists at Adiala Jail, Imran Khan stated, "We are ready to negotiate with the army. Let the army appoint its representative, and we will negotiate."
When questioned about his willingness to accuse the army yet seek negotiations with them instead of political parties, Imran Khan clarified, "We did not accuse the army but only criticized it. What is SIFC, and who is Mohsin Naqvi? There is an undeclared martial law in the country. Mohsin Naqvi is their representative; he has reached here through them."
Journalists further asked if he would negotiate if Mohsin Naqvi was authorized to represent. Imran Khan's response was unequivocal: "I will never talk to Mohsin Naqvi. He has oppressed us along with IG Punjab, while Maryam Nawaz is also a fascist."
Imran Khan also expressed concerns about his treatment, saying, "I was abducted from the judicial complex, and then Chief Justice Amir Farooq declared it right. I request Justice Amir Farooq to separate himself from my cases. There are other judges in the High Court; assign the cases to someone else."
The PTI founder added, "If any member of Tehreek-e-Insaaf is involved in the events of May 9, they must be punished. The government has only one goal: to pit PTI against the army and destroy our party."
