Pakistan Advances CPEC with China, Emphasizes Agricultural Cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has announced Pakistan's commitment to advancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) into its next phase, aiming to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including trade, industrial development, digital technology, and agriculture.

Dar made these remarks during his address at the International Conference on China's Development and Global Leadership Journey, where he emphasized the significance of CPEC in bolstering Pakistan's economic growth. He noted China's rapid economic development and projected its emergence as a leading global economic powerhouse in the near future.

Highlighting the strengthening partnership between Pakistan and China, Dar announced that China has offered to host 100 senior Pakistani agricultural students. This initiative aims to equip them with advanced techniques to enhance agricultural productivity and production per acre, a critical area for Pakistan's economy.

“Pakistan is determined to strengthen CPEC and broaden our collaboration with China,” Dar stated. He underscored the importance of educational exchanges as a vital component in supporting the growth of the country’s agricultural sector.

Dar's statements reflect Pakistan's strategic vision to leverage CPEC as a means to stimulate economic growth and technological advancement through collaboration with China. The focus on agriculture, in particular, signifies a commitment to enhancing food security and sustainable development within the country.

As CPEC moves into its next phase, both countries aim to solidify their partnership, fostering greater economic opportunities and a stronger regional alliance.
