POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Rawalpindi — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Ali Zafar on Wednesday said that party founder Imran Khan has reiterated his willingness to engage in dialogue with the establishment — but without seeking any personal concessions.
Speaking to reporters outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, where Imran Khan remains incarcerated, Zafar emphasized the PTI founder’s firm stance: “There is no give-and-take.”
Zafar conveyed Imran Khan’s message that his doors are open for talks in the national interest, stating, “He is ready to talk for Pakistan, not for himself.” According to Zafar, Khan stressed that if he had ever wanted personal relief, he could have requested it a long time ago.
The PTI founder also reportedly urged party leadership to prepare for a nationwide protest movement, warning that he “will not tolerate inaction” and will “not allow anyone to play on both sides of the wicket.”
Zafar quoted Khan as saying that all he seeks is justice and speedy hearings of the cases filed against him. Imran Khan, he added, has announced a protest movement, and a comprehensive plan of action will be unveiled within the next 5 to 6 days.
The statement signals renewed political activity from PTI amid a turbulent political climate and ongoing legal battles involving Khan, who faces multiple cases since his ouster in 2022.
