The Special Judge Central has cancelled the hearing of the Toshakhana II case that was scheduled for today in Adiala Jail. This development comes after the last hearing was held on February 17, and the next hearing was expected today.
The court staff notified Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry, the lawyer representing PTI founder Imran Khan, about the cancellation. The PTI lawyer expressed concerns over the delay, pointing out that sometimes legal cases are expedited, while other times they are delayed without clear reasons.
The lawyer also highlighted the disparity in the processing of cases, remarking that when sentences are about to be pronounced, trials often continue late into the night. This remark points to frustration within the legal community regarding the unpredictable pace of legal proceedings.
The cancellation of the hearing has sparked discussions on the efficiency and timeliness of legal proceedings in high-profile cases in Pakistan.
