The Islamabad High Court Bar Association has called for a judicial inquiry into the PTI protest and the alleged use of force on civilians by law enforcement at D-Chowk.

In a statement issued by President Rashid Ali Azad, the Bar emphasized that the use of force on peaceful protestors violated fundamental human, political, and social rights.

The Bar has demanded that immediate action be taken against the authorities involved in the violent crackdown on civilians during the protest. The statement further urged the Supreme Court to take suo motu notice of the incident, ensuring accountability and justice.

Earlier, the Supreme Court Bar Association had also issued a statement, demanding the resignation of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, holding them accountable for the handling of the situation.

The growing calls for accountability and the protection of citizens' rights have intensified amid increasing concerns about the response to political protests and law enforcement conduct.
