Islamabad Ulema Conference Praises Army, Acknowledges Anti-Terror Role

At the National Ulema and Mashaikh Conference held at the Convention Center Islamabad, religious scholars expressed their complete solidarity with the Pakistan Army and lauded the military leadership for its remarkable achievements in the fight for truth and national security.

Addressing the gathering, Allama Ziaullah Shah Bukhari of Jamiat Ahle Hadith declared that no so-called politician would be allowed to speak against the Pakistan Army, emphasizing the army’s role in safeguarding the country’s honor.

Mufti Abdul Rahim, head of Jamia Rashidiya, stressed the importance of unity between political and military leadership. He highlighted the threat posed by extremist groups, including the Khawarij, who are conducting terrorist activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan under the guise of religion, and urged scholars to support efforts to eliminate these elements.

Shabbir Hassan Maythami praised the army for its success in the Banyan Marsus operation, saying it has brought Pakistan respect and honor on the global stage. Pir Hassan Haseeb-ur-Rehman also noted that the military’s achievements have elevated the reputation of Pakistan’s passport internationally.

The conference underscored the crucial role of religious leaders in promoting national unity, supporting counter-terrorism efforts, and fostering a harmonious relationship between the civilian and military leadership of Pakistan.
