At least 15 Palestinians, including 10 children and 3 women, were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the central Gaza city of Deir al-Balah, according to the Gaza Government Media Office.

Authorities said the strike targeted a medical point that was providing food and nutritional supplements to sick children and women. The Gaza Government Media Office condemned the attack, stating that it further exposes what they called a “policy of genocide” by the Israeli military, indiscriminately targeting civilians, markets, and vital facilities.

Footage from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital shows scenes of chaos and devastation — bodies of children laid out on the floor as overwhelmed medical staff rushed to treat the injured.

The Israeli army, in a statement, claimed it had targeted a Hamas terrorist operating in the area, expressing regret over civilian casualties and confirming that an investigation into the incident is underway.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, 82 people have been killed and 247 injured in Israeli strikes over the past 24 hours alone.

Since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, the total Palestinian death toll has climbed to 57,762, with 137,656 wounded, amid what humanitarian groups call an unprecedented humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
