POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
Maulana Fazlur Rahman, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam F (JUI-F), has expressed partial acceptance of the Supreme Court's recent decision regarding electoral seats, emphasizing the need for dialogue to address remaining concerns.
In a statement, Maulana Fazlur Rahman remarked that while only constitutional and legal experts can provide a definitive opinion on the court's ruling, JUI-F sees the decision as potentially fostering an environment for constructive dialogue.
"This decision will facilitate a conducive environment for discussions aimed at alleviating reservations," Maulana Fazlur Rahman stated, reflecting on the implications of the Supreme Court's verdict.
He clarified that JUI-F, as a political party, will not pursue an appeal against the decision. "Those directly affected by the verdict, however, retain their right to pursue legal recourse," Maulana Fazlur Rahman added.
The Supreme Court's decision, which affirmed certain electoral seats, has sparked varied responses from political entities across Pakistan.
