POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has emphasized the need for political parties in Pakistan to embrace internal democracy and cultivate a culture of patience, tolerance, and accountability.
Addressing a recent ceremony, Rafique criticized the prevailing political environment, stating that many parties are “semi-democratic” and that intolerance of opposing views has weakened the democratic process.
He underscored that participation and leadership should come from sincere party workers, warning that those who “behead” or harm political opponents will also face punishment.
Rafique added that the restoration of judges has positively impacted the political climate, ensuring that no one can belittle others. He called for all political parties to sit together and prepare a charter of democracy to establish political stability, transparency, and accountability in the country.
