KP CM Doubles Relief for Kurram Operation Victims to Rs 230,000

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi has announced a significant increase in the relief amount for victims of the ongoing operation in Kurram district.

The CM stated that the relief amount has been raised from Rs 110,000 to Rs 230,000 per family. He also assured that the government would address issues related to dual addresses of tribal displaced persons to ensure they receive timely assistance.

Sohail Afridi further emphasized that displaced persons living in host homes would also be included in the relief package, ensuring broader support for affected communities.

Highlighting the importance of unity and progress, the Chief Minister said, “Like civilized nations, we should forget mutual and sectarian differences and focus on development.”

This move comes as part of the KP government’s ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian support and stability to tribal communities affected by security operations in the region.
