POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has called for an All-Party Conference (APC) on December 5 to address the growing law and order challenges in the province. The APC will bring together provincial leaders to discuss critical issues affecting the region’s security, governance, and political stability.
Governor Kundi expressed grave concerns about the current state of affairs in KP, accusing the provincial government of undermining federal unity in its attempts to free the founder. He pointed out the ongoing internal conflicts within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), highlighting that while workers were being detained, no political leaders had faced arrest, leading to widespread unrest.
Kundi also emphasized the deteriorating security situation, claiming that the province has been virtually handed over to terrorists. His comments come amid growing concerns over internal divisions and the lack of effective governance, which he argued has left the province vulnerable to external and internal threats.
In his remarks, Kundi also mentioned the complex political landscape in KP, with what he described as a de facto Chief Minister now in power. He reiterated the urgent need for federal intervention to restore peace and stability in the region.
The APC aims to bring together all political parties to work towards a peaceful resolution and to address the escalating crisis in the province. Kundi’s call for an inclusive dialogue comes at a time of heightened tensions, with the governor stressing that the security of KP must be a national priority.
As the province grapples with both political instability and security concerns, the December 5 APC will be closely watched as a pivotal moment for KP's future.
