New Planning Committee Formed to Drive Budget Reforms and Implement PM's Special Program for Merged Districts

A new planning committee has been established to create consensus on budget measures and Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) reforms, as well as to ensure the implementation of the Prime Minister's Special Program for Merged Districts. This strategic committee aims to enhance the development and integration of these regions.

 

The committee comprises prominent figures from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and federal representatives, including Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, Law Minister Aftab Alam, Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Additional Chief Secretary.

 

Additionally, the committee will include Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Maqam, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, MNA Muhammad Yusuf Zaman, and former MPA Akhtar Wali. These members bring a diverse range of expertise and political experience to the table, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the planned reforms and initiatives.

 

The committee's primary objectives will be to:

 

Build consensus on necessary budgetary measures and reforms related to the PSDP.

Ensure effective implementation of the Prime Minister's Special Program for Merged Districts.

Address the developmental needs of the Merged Districts through coordinated planning and resource allocation.
