OGRA Announces Reduction in LPG Prices for January 2025

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the month of January 2025, offering relief to consumers as they enter the New Year.

New Price Announcement

According to the official notification issued by OGRA, the price of LPG has been lowered by Rs 4.2 per kilogram. As a result, the price of a household yellow cylinder, which weighs 11.8 kg, has become cheaper by Rs 47.43.

The notification further clarified that the new price per kilogram of LPG for January 2025 is now set at Rs 250.28. Consequently, the price of a full 11.8 kg cylinder of LPG will be Rs 2,953.36.

Impact of the Price Cut

This price reduction is expected to provide significant relief to consumers, especially households that rely on LPG for cooking and heating. The reduction comes as a New Year benefit, and it is hoped that the price cut will ease the financial burden on the public, especially during the colder months.

Conclusion

With the new prices in place, OGRA’s decision to reduce LPG costs for January 2025 marks a positive development for consumers. The reduction in LPG prices highlights the regulatory authority's ongoing efforts to manage fuel prices and ensure affordability for the public.
