Opposition Leader Achakzai Calls for Negotiations to Address National and Regional Issues

Opposition Leader in the National Assembly of Pakistan, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, has renewed his call for the government to engage in negotiations to resolve both national and regional challenges.

In an exclusive interview with SAMAA News, Achakzai emphasised that the month of Ramadan is a time for patience and reflection, and urged leaders to prioritise the country and the parliament by pursuing dialogue.

“The solution to every problem is negotiations,” he said, stressing that parliament should serve as a source of power and that discussions should take place at all levels to address ongoing challenges.

He highlighted regional concerns, noting that naval fleets are active in the seas around Iran and warning that the current regional situation is unsatisfactory. Achakzai further pointed to strained relations with neighbouring countries and the need for collective wisdom to navigate the challenges.

The opposition leader’s remarks come amid growing domestic and regional tensions, with calls from various political quarters for dialogue as a means to stabilise both internal governance and foreign relations.
