In a shocking incident in Karachi's upscale PECHS locality, unidentified suspects looted over Rs130 million in cash and valuables after entering a home posing as officials of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Firozabad police station, and a formal case has been registered on the complaint of showroom owner Salik.

👤 Details of the Heist:

According to the complaint, two men and three burqa-clad women arrived at the residence in a black vehicle, with one of the men wearing a shirt branded with the FIA monogram. The group gained access to the home by claiming they were conducting an official search.

Once inside, the suspects allegedly looted Rs130 million in cash, along with luxury watches, mobile phones, laptops, and other valuables.

“They looked and acted like real officials,” said the complainant. “We never imagined it was a staged operation.”

👮‍♂️ Ongoing Investigation:

The Karachi police have taken two brothers and two sisters into custody as part of the ongoing investigation. Their connection to the crime is currently being examined, and police say they are actively pursuing other leads to identify and apprehend additional suspects.

The authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage and phone records, and have appealed to the public for any information that may assist in the investigation.

This incident has raised fresh alarms about criminals impersonating law enforcement officers to carry out large-scale heists. Citizens are being urged to verify official identities and report any suspicious activity to 15 or their local police stations.
