Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is on a four-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, engaging in high-level talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) and Saudi officials to enhance bilateral economic & strategic cooperation.
Key Meetings & Discussions
PM Shehbaz & MBS held a bilateral meeting in Jeddah, reaffirming their commitment to:
Expanding trade, investment & energy cooperation
Boosting defence & security collaboration
Enhancing people-to-people ties, cultural exchanges & educational initiatives

"We had a most productive discussion on ways to further strengthen Pakistan-Saudi Arabia ties in trade, investment, energy and security. Thanked His Royal Highness for the Kingdom’s consistent support to Pakistan."
The Saudi Crown Prince also acknowledged the contributions of Pakistani expatriates, vowing to enhance their welfare in the Kingdom.
Economic Cooperation & Investment Talks
Saudi Minister for Investment Khalid Al Faleh met with PM Shehbaz and expressed Saudi Arabia’s keen interest in deepening economic collaboration.
Discussions focused on:
Attracting Saudi investments in Pakistan’s energy, agriculture, infrastructure & technology sectors
Expediting investment projects under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC)
Increasing bilateral trade & economic integration
In April 2024, PM Shehbaz & MBS agreed to expedite a $5 billion Saudi investment package for Pakistan.
Saudi Arabia has signed 34 MoUs with Pakistan, with 5 already operational.

Both countries have reaffirmed their long-term economic partnership, with Pakistan offering investment-friendly policies to Saudi businesses.
