Pakistan Clinches ODI Series Against South Africa with 7-Wicket Win

Pakistan defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the third ODI at Iqbal Stadium, clinching the three-match series 2-1.

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat but struggled against Pakistan’s bowling attack, being bowled out for 143 runs in the 37th over. Quinton de Kock top-scored with 53, while Johan de Pretorius added 39. Peter and Matthew Burtzki contributed 16 runs each.

For Pakistan, Abrar Ahmed was the standout bowler, claiming 4 wickets, with Shaheen Afridi, Salman Agha, and Muhammad Nawaz taking 2 wickets apiece.

Chasing a modest target of 144, Pakistan achieved victory in the 26th over for the loss of 3 wickets. Saim Ayub led the charge with a brilliant 77, supported by Mohammad Rizwan’s 32 and Babar Azam’s 27. Salman Agha remained unbeaten on 5 runs.

Earlier in the series, Pakistan won the first ODI by 2 wickets, but South Africa bounced back to win the second by 8 wickets, setting up an exciting series decider which Pakistan ultimately dominated.
