A medical team from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) conducted a health examination of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on Friday, according to jail sources.
Sources said a three-member team of doctors visited the jail specifically to assess the former prime minister’s health condition. The team comprised Dr Zulfiqar, Dr Arif and Dr Asil, who carried out a detailed medical check-up.
According to jail officials, the doctors examined Imran Khan’s eyes and teeth, while a general physician included in the team performed a comprehensive medical assessment covering his overall health.
The medical team also prescribed certain medicines following the examination. Jail sources confirmed that the doctors would compile and forward a detailed medical report to the jail administration for record and further action, if required.
Imran Khan has been incarcerated at Adiala Jail in multiple cases, and his health has remained a subject of concern for his party leaders and supporters, who have repeatedly called for transparency regarding his medical condition.
