PTI Chairman Gohar Reaffirms ‘Pakistan First’ Stance Amid Bushra Bibi Restrictions

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar, reiterated on Tuesday that the party’s priority is Pakistan above all and defended the founder’s children against any allegations of speaking against the country.

Speaking to the media at Adiala Road Dahgal checkpoint, Barrister Gohar expressed concern over restrictions on Bushra Bibi’s meetings, stating that her family has not been allowed to see her for the past four weeks. He emphasized that PTI does not support tension or anarchy and seeks political solutions to ongoing issues.

“Our founder, Imran Khan, has given authority to Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas to address political matters. We want these issues resolved through political means, but some forces do not wish for a peaceful resolution,” Gohar said.

He also criticized the delays in judicial decisions regarding the suspension of Imran Khan’s sentences, noting that even after 14 months, no resolution has been reached, fueling perceptions among Pakistanis that the founder has been imprisoned on political grounds.

Regarding Pakistan’s international relations, Gohar mentioned successes achieved since 2025, including Saudi Arabia’s restraint, and stressed the importance of parliamentary oversight in foreign policy and mediation efforts.

He assured that PTI remains a peaceful party, rejecting any threats or violence and stating, “We do not want any worker of PTI to take the law into their own hands.”

Barrister Gohar reaffirmed PTI’s clear stance: “Pakistan comes first. The children of our founder have not spoken against Pakistan and we will not support them if they ever do.”

He concluded by emphasizing the party’s commitment to pursuing political and legal avenues for resolving issues, including the founder’s cases, while maintaining public peace and confidence.
