The central leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to initiate action against former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur over his recent statements regarding Bushra Bibi and Aleema Khan.

According to party sources, the PTI central leadership reviewed Gandapur’s remarks concerning the family of party founder Imran Khan. The matter was discussed in detail following recent meetings related to Adiala Jail, after which it was decided that disciplinary action would be taken.

Sources said that before reaching a final decision, the leadership sought complete records of Gandapur’s interviews and public statements. After examining the available videos and transcripts, the party concluded that action was necessary.

Leadership Responds

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stated that no statements targeting the family of the party founder would be tolerated under any circumstances.

Similarly, PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said Gandapur had made numerous remarks that would not go unanswered. “He has said many things and said a lot. I assure you that he will be answered,” Raja stated.

He added that while the party would not act hastily, a response would come at an appropriate time. “No debt will be taken, but today is not that day. All the words and statements of Ali Amin Gandapur will be answered,” he said.

Internal Accountability

The development signals growing efforts within PTI’s leadership to enforce party discipline, particularly regarding public comments involving the family of Imran Khan. The move also highlights internal tensions at a time when the party is navigating political challenges and heightened scrutiny.

While details of the possible disciplinary action have not yet been made public, party insiders suggest that the decision reflects a broader attempt to maintain unity and control over public messaging within the ranks.
