PTI Leader Umar Ayub Rules Out Violent Actions to Release Imran Khan, Calls for Judicial Independence
In a recent statement, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Umar Ayub ruled out the possibility of using force to release PTI founder Imran Khan from Adiala Jail. Addressing journalists after meeting Imran Khan in jail, Ayub stated, "We cannot attack Adiala Jail with rocket launchers to release Imran Khan."
Ayub accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) of trying to create a divide between the army and PTI. "What is clear is that the army is from the people," he asserted.
He also called for the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court to recuse himself from PTI founder’s cases, highlighting concerns over judicial independence. "Rauf Hasan is a person of weak life, he was handed over to CTD, don't be too much of a duffer, be but be less, we are all being tried to be confused in some way or the other cases," Ayub added.
In an earlier press conference, Ayub criticized amendments to the Election Act, claiming they were specifically targeted at PTI. "The controversial legislation will not be upheld in any court," he declared.
Meanwhile, PTI leader Asad Qaiser announced plans to form a grand alliance of the opposition within 15 days, signaling a new phase of political maneuvering in Pakistan.
