PTI Leaders, Family Members Stopped from Meeting Imran Khan at Adiala Jail

On the day scheduled for meetings with PTI founder Imran Khan, several party leaders and family members were stopped by police at various locations outside Adiala Jail, preventing them from seeing the former prime minister.

Among those attempting to visit Imran Khan were Faisal Chaudhry Advocate, Mehr-e-Nissa Ahmed (a relative of Bushra Bibi), Bushra Bibi's focal person Rai Salman Kharal Advocate, and Salman Safdar Advocate. However, their efforts were thwarted as they reached the outskirts of the jail.

Aleema Khan, the sister of Imran Khan, along with other family members, were stopped at Gorakhpur Naka. Aleema Khan, visibly upset, exited her car and sat on the footpath in protest, refusing to leave. She expressed frustration with the repeated denial of access to her brother, recalling a similar incident during a previous visit. "Last time, the police deceived us. They left us stranded in a desert, and now we are sitting here, refusing to move," Aleema Khan stated while speaking to the media.

Barrister Gauhar, who was also prevented from meeting Imran Khan, commented on the situation, saying, "The police are not letting us go, and we have no recourse. The courts are not enforcing their orders." His remarks echoed the growing concerns among PTI supporters about the ongoing legal and political struggles surrounding Imran Khan's imprisonment.

Despite the blockades, the families and party representatives vowed to continue their attempts to meet with Imran Khan, further highlighting the ongoing tensions between the PTI leadership and the authorities.
