Punjab Assembly Receives Panchayat Bill 2025 to Address Law and Order Issues

PML-N Member of the Provincial Assembly Amjad Ali Javed has introduced the Panchayat Bill 2025 in the Punjab Assembly. The bill seeks to revive the traditional Panchayat system across the province to provide speedy justice for minor disputes and crimes.

Key Provisions of the Bill:

·       Formation of committees in every district and union council tasked with resolving domestic disputes, small financial disagreements, and minor criminal cases within 30 days.

·       The bill aims to reduce the backlog and delays currently experienced in police stations and courts for small matters.

·       The Speaker of the Punjab Assembly has forwarded the bill to the relevant committee for further examination.
