Rain and Snowfall Expected Across Pakistan as Weather Changes

The Meteorological Department has forecasted significant weather changes across Pakistan, with rain expected in multiple regions starting today. The department anticipates strong cold winds and potential snowfall in mountainous areas, bringing a sharp dip in temperatures.

From today to December 8, westerly winds are expected to enter the upper areas of the country, contributing to rain in several cities, including Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore. This change in weather is also expected to affect other parts of Punjab, leading to colder conditions.

The mountainous regions of Pakistan, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, and areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, are likely to experience rain and snowfall. Additionally, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir are forecasted to see snowfall, particularly in their higher altitudes.

The strong winds and rains are expected to cause a further drop in temperatures in Sindh, Balochistan, and Punjab, with chilly conditions spreading across these provinces.

The Meteorological Department urges residents of the affected areas to stay prepared for sudden weather changes and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to snowfall and heavy rain.
