Rana Sanaullah Optimistic About Reaching Consensus with PTI in Upcoming Talks

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, expressed confidence that the ongoing talks between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) could lead to an agreement beneficial to both parties. Speaking to Geo News, Sanaullah stated that while political differences exist, there must be a shared understanding focused on the nation's interests.

"We don't have to accept everything they say, and neither will they accept everything we propose," said Sanaullah. He emphasized that through negotiation, the two sides could reach mutually convenient solutions that address the key issues at hand.

On the topic of PTI's demands, Sanaullah clarified that once the party's demands are clearly outlined in writing, the government would evaluate them and work towards an agreement. He added that the completion of these talks would likely take shape once PTI’s charter of demands is released, which is expected to be on January 2, 2025.

Regarding the issue of the release of PTI’s founder, Sanaullah suggested that if such demands are officially presented, the process could be discussed with the Prime Minister to determine the course of action.

Sanaullah also touched on the ongoing discussions about the Madrasa Registration Bill, noting that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had expressed no objection to Madrasas wishing to align with the Ministry of Education. The Prime Minister’s advisor assured that efforts were underway to resolve any issues related to Madrasa registration, with the legal team actively examining the matter.

The political landscape remains dynamic, with these discussions expected to shape future developments in Pakistan’s governance.
