In a brazen attack, 21 police trainees were robbed by armed robbers in the Ratodero area of Larkana district, Sindh, officials said on Monday.
The trainees were returning to their training school after a vacation when the robbers intercepted them, seizing mobile phones, cash, and other valuables before fleeing the scene.
SSP Larkana Ahmed Faisal confirmed that police teams were immediately dispatched to the area upon receiving reports of the incident. A search operation has been launched, with blockades being set up at various locations to apprehend the culprits.
Police officials stated that a thorough investigation is underway to identify and capture the robbers. No injuries were reported among the trainees.
The incident has raised concerns about security for law enforcement personnel even while off duty, prompting calls for enhanced measures in vulnerable areas.
