POLITICS & POLICY MAKING
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the Sindh Job Portal, a digital platform designed to promote transparency and meritocracy in government recruitment across the province.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Murad Ali Shah described the portal as “a very important step” toward fair employment opportunities in Sindh. He stated that government jobs from grades 5 to 15 will now be filled transparently through the new online system.
“We want to make employment as easy and convenient as possible,” the Chief Minister said. “Qualified youth will now get jobs purely on merit. The impression that government jobs are only available through recommendations must end.”
Highlighting the government’s digital transformation efforts, Murad Ali Shah noted that all sectors in Sindh are being digitized to improve efficiency and accessibility. “Every government department will upload details of its vacancies on the portal, and as soon as new positions open, they will automatically appear online,” he explained.
Developed in collaboration with the Sindh Ministry of Science and IT and Sukkur IBA University, the Sindh Job Portal initially covered recruitment for grades 5 to 15. However, the system has now been expanded to include all job grades.
The Chief Minister further announced that the recruitment process for grades 1 to 5 will begin within the next 15 days, expressing hope that the portal will ensure employment opportunities are provided fairly and efficiently.
“This initiative will not only simplify the application process but also restore public confidence in the transparency of government hiring,” he said.
The Sindh Job Portal marks a major stride in the province’s efforts to digitalize administrative services and empower youth through equal access to employment.
