In a recent hearing at the Sindh High Court concerning the murder case of journalist Nasrullah Gadani, significant developments emerged regarding the delayed presentation of the challan. The court was presented with a report from SSP Ghotki, detailing the status of the challan.

The report indicated that the challan is currently under scrutiny and will be submitted to the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Mirpur Mathilo once the review is complete. The Sindh High Court has directed the ATC to provide a report on the final disposition of the case within the next four weeks.

Furthermore, the court has mandated SSP Ghotki to submit an implementation report on the case's progress within the same timeframe.

Aman Pathani, the mother of the slain journalist, has raised concerns about the case's handling, alleging that the accused, MNA Khalid Lind and his son, have mobilized hundreds of armed supporters to intimidate witnesses and police. Pathani claimed that the police are providing support to the accused and are involved in filing false cases against the victim's relatives.

She warned that if justice is not served, they will escalate the matter to the Supreme Court to ensure accountability and fair proceedings.

The case of Nasrullah Gowani has garnered attention due to its implications for press freedom and the integrity of the judicial process in Pakistan. The high court's orders reflect ongoing efforts to address these concerns and ensure that justice is served in this high-profile case.
