Sindh Sports Minister Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mehar has expressed concerns over the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) approach to talent scouting, warning that if Sindh's cricket talent continues to be ignored, the province may consider forming its own cricket board.
Speaking to the media, the minister stated, "The Cricket Board's talent hunt method is flawed. Cricket is not just from Peshawar to Multan; Karachi and the rest of Sindh also have a rich cricketing culture."
Sindh's Cricket Talent Overlooked
The minister emphasized the abundance of cricket talent in Sindh but lamented that players from the province often join the national team only to sit on the sidelines and return without being given a fair chance.
"We are currently supporting the Champions Trophy together. However, we will raise this issue with the Chairman of the Cricket Board soon," he added.
Future Plans
Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mehar underscored the need for fair representation of Sindh's talent in the national cricket landscape and hinted at decisive measures if the current situation remains unchanged.
