POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

Senior PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry has accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) legal team of prioritizing financial gain over loyalty to party workers.
Speaking to the media, Chaudhry criticized PTI lawyers, alleging that their commitment lies with money rather than justice.
"Justice for Sale" – Talal Chaudhry's Allegations
According to Chaudhry, PTI’s legal wing and the Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF) have abandoned 69 dedicated party workers due to unpaid legal fees.
"PTI workers have been deprived of legal assistance. The leadership enjoys privileges while the workers suffer," he stated.
He claimed that this double standard exposes PTI’s internal corruption and hypocrisy, arguing that:
- PTI lawyers see party workers as clients for financial gain.
- ILF has failed to fulfill its purpose of defending party activists.
- Workers who sacrificed for PTI now face neglect in courtrooms.
PTI's Justice Slogan – A Hollow Promise?
Chaudhry described PTI's "justice for all" narrative as hollow.
"When money speaks, PTI lawyers listen. Loyalty and principles come second," he remarked.
He further questioned how a party that cannot stand by its workers today can stand by the people tomorrow.
Narrative of Hate and Institutional Criticism
The PML-N leader also criticized PTI's founder for writing letters that he claims promote hatred against institutions.
- "PTI is fostering a narrative of hate," Chaudhry said.
- He compared the situation to a "thief writing a letter to the law enforcer", suggesting that PTI is attempting to manipulate institutions.
Accusations of Financial Mismanagement
In addition to criticizing the legal wing, Chaudhry accused PTI of massive financial mismanagement.
"If PTI hadn’t stolen 700 billion rupees, 70 universities could have been built," he claimed.
He warned that attempts to hinder the Constitution's implementation will not succeed.
Political Tensions on the Rise
Chaudhry's remarks come amid increasing political tensions between PML-N and PTI, with legal battles intensifying across various forums.
