Turkey Warns Israel Against Exploiting Iran’s Unrest

Turkey has warned Israel against taking advantage of Iran’s internal unrest, amid violent protests that have rocked the country for nearly two weeks.

In an interview with Turkish media, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Israeli efforts to exploit the situation in Iran would fail. “Iran’s rivals are attempting to use the protests for their own agendas, and Israel is also seeking to take advantage of the current situation,” he said.

Fidan added that the recent protests in Iran are distinct from previous movements, describing them as limited in scale. “Israel’s expectations from these protests will not be fulfilled. The Iranian people know how to respond and will act accordingly,” he asserted.

He also criticized Israel for obstructing the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, while noting that Turkey is prepared to play a role in humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.

Meanwhile, protests in Iran entered their 13th consecutive day, leaving dozens dead and over 2,500 people arrested, according to local and international reports. Internet services have been cut off across the country for the third day in a row, further limiting communication.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards declared that safeguarding the achievements of the Islamic Revolution and maintaining national security are a red line. Similarly, the Iranian army vowed to confront any conspiracies, stating that under the command of the Supreme Commander, it will monitor enemy movements in the region and protect national interests and public property.

The protests, driven by rising living costs and widespread grievances, have raised tensions both inside Iran and in the wider region, prompting international attention and warnings from neighboring countries.
