Two Dead, Four Injured in Explosion in Balochistan’s Mangochar Area

At least two people were killed and four others injured in a powerful explosion in the Mangochar area of Kalat district, Balochistan, on Saturday.

Emergency rescue teams and Levies forces swiftly responded to the incident, moving the injured and deceased to a nearby medical facility. The condition of the injured is being monitored, officials confirmed.

Authorities have initiated a detailed investigation to determine the cause of the blast. No group has claimed responsibility so far, but officials say they are exploring all leads, including potential militant involvement.

“The site has been secured and forensic teams are examining the area,” said a Levies official. “We are working to uncover who was behind this attack.”

The explosion has raised fresh concerns about security in Balochistan, a region that has faced sporadic violence. Security has been reinforced throughout Kalat and adjoining areas as a precautionary measure.

Condemning the incident, a spokesperson for the provincial government stated: “Such cowardly acts will not deter our commitment to peace. We stand with the victims and their families.”

The attack underscores the ongoing security challenges in the province and the urgent need for enhanced intelligence-sharing and preventive action.
