Students mobilized online and took to the streets, clashing with police and security guards.
At least 28 protesters were injured, and over 150 were arrested for violent demonstrations.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz dismissed the alleged rape as “fabricated news,” accusing PTI of spreading misinformation. College authorities have also termed the incident baseless.
Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court has summoned senior officials, including Punjab IG Dr. Usman Anwar, to address harassment claims in educational institutions.
