Xi Jinping on Monday extended warm congratulations to Asif Ali Zardari on the occasion of Pakistan Day, reaffirming Beijing’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding partnership with Islamabad.
In his message, President Xi expressed readiness to work closely with President Zardari to build an even stronger China-Pakistan community with a shared future in what he described as a “new era” of cooperation.
Highlighting key milestones, Xi noted that this year marks the beginning of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan as well as the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He emphasized the importance of carrying forward the traditional friendship between China and Pakistan while enhancing strategic communication and aligning development strategies.
The Chinese president also praised Pakistan’s efforts in safeguarding its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, while overcoming economic and security challenges. He commended the country’s contributions toward regional peace, stability, and development.
“As a close friend, China is sincerely pleased with Pakistan’s development achievements,” Xi stated, underscoring the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.
Separately, Wang Yi also conveyed his greetings to Ishaq Dar, reiterating Beijing’s desire to further deepen the “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership” between the two countries.
In his message, Wang acknowledged Pakistan’s resilience in overcoming various risks and challenges, as well as its growing role in regional and international affairs. He expressed willingness to work with Pakistan to implement the consensus reached by the leadership of both nations.
Meanwhile, Li Qiang sent a separate congratulatory message to Shehbaz Sharif, further reflecting the high-level diplomatic engagement between the two countries on the occasion.
The exchange of messages highlights the continued strength of China-Pakistan relations, often described as an “all-weather friendship,” with both sides aiming to expand cooperation in economic development, regional connectivity, and strategic alignment.
