According to UNFPA, a woman dies every 50 minutes in Pakistan due to pregnancy complications.
UNFPA warns in its annual report that if the current situation is not improved,
it may take 122 years to reach zero mortality rate and another 93 years to meet family planning needs.
Dr. Loy Shibana, head of UNFPA in Pakistan, said that the disturbing fact is that most women in Pakistan are still without access to essential maternal and sexual and reproductive health services.
