POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken a significant step to promote regional development by granting district status to Tehsil Alaai of Battagram. This decision was announced during a high-level meeting of public representatives from the Hazara Division, chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
The meeting focused on consultations for the upcoming annual development program and strategies for uplifting backward areas. Emphasizing the importance of addressing local challenges, the Chief Minister declared that Tehsil Alaai would be elevated to district status, a move expected to bring administrative convenience and accelerated development to the area.
Chief Minister Gandapur highlighted that this upgrade would help overcome longstanding issues faced by the residents of Alaai. He further urged that the necessary funds for district formation be allocated in the forthcoming financial year’s budget to ensure smooth implementation.
This decision is welcomed by the people of Tehsil Alaai who anticipate improved governance, better infrastructure, and enhanced public services following the upgrade. The government’s commitment reflects its broader goal of inclusive development across all regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
