Adil Confesses Role in Dr. Warda Murder in Abbottabad

Adil, who was arrested in connection with Dr. Warda’s kidnapping and murder, was presented before the special anti-terrorism court, which transferred him to jail on judicial remand. In his statement, Adil admitted that on the day of the murder, he, along with a person named Faisal, dug a pit and buried Dr. Warda’s body. The planning of the murder was reportedly carried out at a house in Shazman Colony, as per the confession.

Police have recovered Dr. Warda’s mobile phone, ATM card, driving license, and passport-sized photographs following Adil’s identification. So far, five accused have been arrested in connection with the case, while one of the main accused, Shamrez, was killed in a police encounter.

Dr. Warda Mushtaq, posted at DHQ Hospital Abbottabad, was kidnapped and murdered last week by individuals reportedly known to him. Abbottabad DPO Haroon Rasheed stated that Shamrez was killed during a police encounter at Thandiani Road after being traced through mobile data. Two accomplices of Shamrez had escaped during the encounter, but police raids continue to arrest them.

The investigation indicates that all involved parties in Dr. Warda’s murder case are now in custody except for the remaining absconding accomplices, and further legal proceedings are underway.
