Lawyer leader Ahsan Bhawan has been elected as a member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP). He secured 14 votes in the election conducted by the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) and will now represent the PBC in the Judicial Commission.

The Pakistan Bar Council meeting saw 19 members participate in the voting process:
- 14 voted in favor of Ahsan Bhawan.
- 4 members opposed his election.
- 1 member abstained from voting.
This election follows the resignation of Akhtar Hussain, a previous Pakistan Bar Council representative in the Judicial Commission.
