POLITICS & POLICY MAKING

In response to MQM Pakistan’s concerns over delays in Karachi and Hyderabad’s development projects, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal reached out to MQM leadership, assuring them of immediate action.
Ahsan Iqbal, currently in Saudi Arabia, held a Zoom meeting with MQM leaders Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Mustafa Kamal, Aminul Haq, Javed Hanif, and Izharul Hassan. Senior government officials also participated from their offices.
The meeting focused on expediting formalities to begin development work in both cities. Ahsan Iqbal assured MQM that practical steps would be taken soon.
The move follows MQM leader Aminul Haq’s recent remarks expressing frustration over the government’s failure to fulfill commitments and hinting at the possibility of moving to the opposition benches.
