The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday ordered the defreezing of Aleema Khan’s bank account and cancelled her non-bailable arrest warrants.
The case, originally filed on November 26, was heard by Judge Amjad Ali Shah. Aleema Khan appeared in court with her lawyer, Muhammad Faisal Malik, who completed the cross-examination of three more prosecution witnesses.
In addition to defreezing the bank account, the court sought a response from NADRA officials regarding the defreezing of Aleema Khan’s identity card.
The court adjourned the hearing till February 9, with Aleema Khan assuring her appearance at the next session. The cancellation of her non-bailable arrest warrants marks a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings.
This decision comes amid ongoing scrutiny of the case, which has attracted public attention due to Aleema Khan’s profile.
