Authorities in Ohio are investigating an attack on the private residence of US Vice President JD Vance.
According to reports, Vance and his family were not at home when the incident occurred. Law enforcement agencies have taken one person into custody in connection with the attack.
US media cited officials saying the suspect attempted to enter the house but was unsuccessful. During the incident, a window of the residence was damaged, and a Secret Service vehicle was also struck.
Vice President Vance receives 24-hour security from the Secret Service; however, security at his private residence is adjusted according to his travel schedule, officials noted. Authorities continue to investigate the motive behind the attack and are reviewing any potential threats.
