Azam Nazir Tarar Group Secures Landslide Victory in Punjab Bar Council Elections

The Azam Nazir Tarar Group achieved a resounding victory in the recent Punjab Bar Council elections, with 56 of its candidates emerging successful, securing a clear majority in the country’s largest bar council.

The Punjab Bar Council holds significant influence within Pakistan’s legal community, and the overwhelming win has further strengthened the group’s position in shaping legal affairs and policy matters related to the legal fraternity.

Following the elections, the Azam Nazir Tarar and Ahsan Bhawan Group jointly selected the Punjab Bar Council cabinet on the basis of their majority. Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar congratulated the successful candidates and praised the leadership for earning the trust of lawyers across the province. He also congratulated Khawaja Qaiser on his election as Vice Chairman of the council.

Speaking on the occasion, Azam Nazir Tarar emphasized the critical role of the Punjab Bar Council in addressing the issues faced by the legal community and ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.

The Federal Law Minister expressed confidence that the newly elected leadership would take effective measures to safeguard the rights of lawyers and work towards resolving their longstanding problems.

The elections are being viewed as a positive example of transparency and democratic practice within the legal community, with expectations that the new leadership will play a constructive role in strengthening Pakistan’s justice system.
