Bangladesh has taken a significant step towards enhancing bilateral ties with Pakistan by easing visa requirements for Pakistani citizens. During his visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce, Bangladeshi Ambassador Muhammad Iqbal Khan announced that Pakistanis can now apply for a Bangladesh visa online, simplifying the process for travel and cooperation between the two nations.
Ambassador Khan emphasized that the civilization and culture of Lahore need no introduction, highlighting the strong cultural and historical ties between the people of Bangladesh and Pakistan. He expressed his desire for a deepened relationship, underscoring that increased cooperation is crucial for both countries in this era.
The Ambassador also pointed out that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce can play a vital role in fostering greater economic collaboration between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He noted that the people of Bangladesh hold Pakistan in high regard, and both nations should work to strengthen their economic and financial cooperation.
Lahore Chamber President Mian Abuzar Shad welcomed the announcement and expressed keen interest in boosting trade with Bangladesh. He revealed that delegations from the Lahore Chamber would soon be visiting Bangladesh to explore new avenues for business cooperation.
The easing of visa restrictions comes at a time when both countries are seeking to enhance their diplomatic, cultural, and economic relations, with a focus on trade and mutual support.
