Barrister Gohar Pushes for Bushra Bibi’s Release, Convinces Imran Khan’s Family to Show Flexibility in Talks

Rawalpindi – PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has initiated efforts aimed at securing the release of Bushra Bibi and has reportedly convinced Imran Khan’s family to adopt a more flexible and negotiation-focused approach.

According to sources, Barrister Gohar visited Kot Lakhpat Jail, where he first met detained PTI leaders and later held discussions with Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi.

Sources indicate that Imran Khan’s family has agreed to avoid making controversial public statements outside the jail. Similarly, Bushra Bibi’s family is expected to refrain from sharing sensitive messages related to her case on social media. The party leadership is also likely to avoid holding press conferences that could create further controversy around the issue.

It is further reported that Barrister Gohar, along with Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas, is expected to meet Imran Khan’s family again next week to keep them informed and maintain consensus.

Sources added that Bushra Bibi’s release will be pursued through legal channels, noting that hearings on appeals filed by detained leaders at Kot Lakhpat Jail are expected to take place soon.
