Cases Filed Against Pir Pagara’s Son for Threatening Lawyers

Usman Shah Rashidi, son of Pir Pagara, the spiritual leader of the Hurras, has been booked in two separate cases for allegedly threatening lawyers over land acquisition disputes.

According to reports, the first case was filed at City Court Police Station on the complaint of Advocate Imtiaz Shah, while the second case was registered at Sachal Police Station on the complaint of Advocate Ghulam Rasool.

Allegations Against Usman Shah Rashidi

The lawyers allege that:

  • Usman Shah forces them to fight land acquisition cases without any fee.
  • When they refuse, he threatens them with death.
  • He has personally visited their homes with armed men to intimidate them.

Karachi Bar Association Reacts

The Karachi Bar Association (KBA) has strongly condemned the threats and has demanded immediate police action against the accused.

“Threatening lawyers for legal representation is a serious crime. The authorities must ensure the safety of lawyers and uphold the rule of law,” a KBA spokesperson stated.
